Day 3 - Short Update

>> Wednesday, August 12, 2009

Hey guys...not much new today. Max is still rocking and rolling. Stable and doing his thing. They were able to insert his PICC line today and so that was a good thing. It was the second attempt to get it in and they were successful. :)

Claire was discharged from the hospital and is back at the Ronald McDonald House with me tonight. She is doing GREAT. She is up and about and doing things on her own. The nurses were really impressed with how quickly she recovered. They said that Max seems to have the same spirit.

Speaking of Max...he will have his repair surgery tomorrow at 9am Florida time...so that is 6am to you in Arizona. Dr. Kays told us today that he could do the endoscopic surgery, but felt like the traditional repair would give him a better chance to fully fix things and do it correctly. We said that would be fine, and are looking forward to "Chapter 3: Max Has Surgery"

Well, that is all until tomorrow! Have a good night/morning!

Glad to hear that Maximus is holding his own! Best wishes during surgery tomorrow. (It was hard seeing our little one go into the OR, but sooooo worth it!)

I'm so happy that Max is doing great! I'm also glad that he is on his way to being repaired- I will say I was super pumped when they said Kayla could have her surgery- but time came and I cried like a little baby myself- so good luck and stay strong. :) We are praying for you and little Max!

I am thrilled about how Max is progressing. Claire, talked to Jeane today, and she said she was also thinking about you, all. She is so thrilled for Max and has all of you in her prayers.
I check the blog site often during the day, just hoping for an update. I was so glad to see even the short one. Will be doing a little heavy talking to the "big" man upstairs tonight and tomorrow morning on the way to work.

You dont know me, but my husband and I are friends with the Conrad's and Overman's from Westside Baptist. Just wanted to let you know that we have been praying for your family and are glad to see all is going well. We have a 5 month old son named Josiah and it was amazing to me to see that Max was almost Josiah's weight when he was delivered. Go Max! We will be praying for Max and his doctors, nurses, and staff tomorrow morning!

Jordan, Claire and Max,

We have been thinking about and praying for/with you for the last few days. Even with the girls starting school, we were getting silent updates from Jocelyn's facebook page. I finally had time to sit down and read the last few days' worth of posts on here and was choked up by each and every post. God bless you all! Welcome to the world, little Max! You have a lot of people who love you already and are praying, praying, praying for you.

Love,
Katie, Mike, Trinity, and Kyrsten
